Who We Are
- TEF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax-exempt philanthropic organization of citizens sharing a vision of enhancing education in TISD.
- We work to increase private support for educational activities in TISD.
- We strive to enrich TISD students and staff by supporting activities not funded by tax dollars.
- TEF fosters creative approaches to learning through private grants and involvements.
- Grants and scholarships are awarded through a volunteer Board of Directors made up of business, community and educational leaders.

There is not a form needed for grant updates. Please prepare a letter for the TEF Board of Directors and include a summary of the impact, effectiveness and successfulness of your project. Teacher Grants Awarded!
Student Scholarship LimitsScholarship recipients have one year from the time of graduation to claim their scholarship before the money is forfeited.
Recipients must provide a Proof of Registration for a minimum of 12 hours, their college/university, the registrar’s address and their student ID to claim their scholarship. This information needs to be sent to Innovative Teaching GrantsEach year, The Temple Education Foundation awards a number of Innovative Teaching Grants to teachers and administrators to encourage, facilitate, recognize and reward creative instructional approaches that facilitate higher levels of student learning. This year's grant is due February 11, 2011. Grant applications can be found in the files section of this website.
